• RAPTOR ADAPTER Positions DSMC3 RAPTOR perfectly for use with PL / Canon EF / Nikon F mount lenses, and newer Canon RF mount lenses, like the LAOWA 9 / 12 / 15 Zero-D super compact primes.
• Gates COMMAND / CONTROL Module. The new GCC interfaces with V-RAPTOR and provides extensive camera control, including 8 assignable buttons.
• Backup Manual Record. Front left REC button is accessed,

• DSMC3: Camera (No modules). Approved CFExpress media
• DSMC2: Camera: Base Expander Module (SKU 720-0033). Sidekick Module (SKU 720-0032). REDMOTE (if using the REDMOTE Controller). REDMAG media. For setup only: FOOLCONTROL (via wifi / smartphone)

FAQ’s

• When can I get my DSMC or DSMC2 housing upgraded to DW-R? Upgrades are available now on first-ordered, first-ship basis. Due to global supply issues, limited numbers are available. Contact Gates for current status.
• DEEP WEAPON – RAPTOR Website (including photos)? GATES DEEP WEAPON-RAPTOR Webpage.
• How do I change between DSMC3, DSMC2 and DSMC in DEEP WEAPON-RAPTOR? Switching between cameras requires familiarity with hand tools to remove / replace two controls and control heads appropriate for the different cameras. You will also need to remove the rear GCC plate, and replace with either a) legacy REDMOTE Controller) or b) a different GCC compatible with DSMC2 / DSMC. Details are in the upgrade SU&C ADDENDUM’s available on the DEEP WEAPON-RAPTOR webpage.
• Can I use existing RED External Monitors e.g. RTB7 or RT47? Unfortunately, no. RED LCD’s compatible with DSMC2 are not so with DSMC3. This is why an SDI type External Monitor e.g. EM503 is required for use with DSMC3.
• Can I upgrade from DSMC (DEEP EPIC) directly to DSMC3 / DEEP WEAPON-RAPTOR? Yes. The upgrade will require certain items originally part of the DSMC2 / DEEP WEAPON upgrade for compatibility with DSMC3: Battery bracket, LGD control changes, etc. These are additional cost.
• Are there differences or limitations to DEEP WEAPON-RAPTOR when using DSCM3? Yes, of note:
• The Tally Light is not operable with DSMC3.
• Iris UP / DOWN control (left front) when using DSLR or Mirrorless lens with DSMC / DSMC2 is replaced by a backup REC button on DSMC3. Iris UP / DOWN must be assigned as USER functions on the GCC to be accessible on DEEP WEAPON-RAPTOR.
• DW-R has ‘system power’ when using DSMC3. The power control activates all power functions to camera, GCC and external monitor (if so configured).
