Overview / Product Description
Ikelite Underwater Housing for Sony ZV-1 II Digital Camera
A full-featured and durable underwater housing for the Sony ZV-1 Mark II Digital Camera. Suitable for scuba, snorkeling, surfing, pool, and any application in or around the water.
Construction
Ikelite's specially formulated ABS-PC blend housing is highly durable yet lightweight for travel. The light color keeps your camera cooler when shooting in warm, sunny environments.Lens Support
The WD-3 Wide Angle Dome provides a mid-range angle of view with no vignetting (dark shadows in the corners of the image). The INON UWL-H100 # 64310, W-30 Wide Angle Lens # 6430, and other 67mm threaded wide angle lenses provide a wider maximum angle of view. Because these are separated from the camera's lens by glass, air, and water, some vignetting and edge distortion will be present. These effects can be reduced or eliminated by using a smaller aperture, zooming in slightly, and/or cropping in post-production.
External macro lenses with 67mm threads, including the INON UCL-165 M67 # 64312, Subsee, Nauticam, Epoque, and other manufacturers, can be attached directly to the front of the housing's port.
3" diameter color filters press directly onto these ports. Most wide-angle lenses require a 3.6" diameter color filter. Refer to the product page for information on color filter compatibility.
The DC3 6" Dome Port # 6403 offers the best of everything: wide angle, macro, and over-under all-on-one dive. This special dome port replaces the housing's standard port pro, vides a sharp 24mm wide angle, and is perfect for split shots (half-in, half-out of the water). Approximately 3/4 of the camera's zoom range is usable behind the dome, and macro images can be captured with the dome installed.
Flash Options
The ZV-1 camera does not feature a built-in flash. External strobes from most manufacturers may be connected via optional C1 Hotshoe # 46071, B1A Bulkhead # 46002, and a compatible sync cord. Most Ikelite DS strobes can be triggered manually and TTL exposure using the DL2 DS Link Sony TTL Converter Ikelite ST1 Hotshoe and B1A Bulkhead Kit # 46045 and a compatible sync cord. Ikelite's Sony TTL conversion circuitry works beautifully for both macro and wide-angle photography. The DS Link features a push button to switch back and forth between TTL and manual on the fly.
Wi-Fi Transfer
Use the camera's built-in Wi-Fi feature to download photos to another device without removing the camera from the housing. The Wi-Fi feature is only usable above water within close proximity to the connected device.Compatibility
Unless otherwise noted, this housing does not accommodate the use of add-on grips, battery grips, eyepieces, LCD covers, or other accessories.Differences in lens and control placement prevent other camera models from being used in or adapted to this housing. Ikelite is unaware of any other models that may be used in or adapted to this housing.
